Hadith 676

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ : " مَنْ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَأْسِرُوهُ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، فَإِنَّهُمْ خَرَجُوا كُرْهًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the Battle of Badr: "If possible, suffice with only capturing the Banu Abd al-Muttalib, for they have come out under great compulsion and force."
