(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَحَبِّكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَقْرَبِكُمْ مِنِّي مَجْلِسًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ " فَسَكَتَ الْقَوْمُ ، فَأَعَادَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ، قَالَ الْقَوْمُ : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " أَحْسَنُكُمْ خُلُقًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Shall I not tell you who among you will be the most beloved to me and the closest to me in assembly on the Day of Resurrection?" The people remained silent. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, repeated this two or three times, so the people said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one among you who has the best character."
