(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ نَائِمًا فَوَجَدَ تَمْرَةً تَحْتَ جَنْبِهِ ، فَأَخَذَهَا ، فَأَكَلَهَا ، ثُمَّ جَعَلَ يَتَضَوَّرُ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ ، وَفَزِعَ لِذَلِكَ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ تَمْرَةً تَحْتَ جَنْبِي فَأَكَلْتُهَا ، فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, found a date under his side. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ate it. Then, in the last part of the night, he, peace and blessings be upon him, became restless, upon which the noble wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, became anxious. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, consoled her, saying: "I found a date under my side which I ate. Now I fear that it might have been a date of charity."
