Hadith 6708

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " كُلُوا ، وَاشْرَبُوا ، وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَالْبَسُوا ، فِي غَيْرِ مَخِيلَةٍ ، وَلَا سَرَفٍ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُرَى نِعْمَتُهُ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Eat, drink, give charity, and wear (clothes), but do not be arrogant and do not be extravagant. Allah Almighty likes that the effect of His blessings should be visible on His servant."
