Hadith 6690

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ ، وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ : " لَا يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ ، وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while delivering a sermon with his back leaning against the Ka'bah, said: "No Muslim will be killed in retaliation for a disbeliever, and no treaty-bound person will be killed during the period of the treaty."
