Hadith 6660

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي حَافِيًا ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَشْرَبُ قَاعِدًا وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he saw the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performing prayer in such a way that he would turn back from the right and left sides. I have seen him performing prayer both barefoot and wearing shoes, and I have seen him drinking water both while standing and sitting.
