It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day we were present with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace be upon him) said: "Glad tidings are for the poor." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who are meant by the poor?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A few righteous people among a large crowd of evil people, whose number of followers is less than those who do not follow them." And on another day, we were sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when the sun was rising. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, some people from my Ummah will come in such a way that their light will be like the light of the sun." We asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who will those people be?" He said: "The poor emigrants, through whom undesirable matters are avoided. These people would die with their needs in their own chests. They will be gathered from every corner of the earth."
