(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُلَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَيْسَ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ كَانَ قَبْلِي إِلَّا قَدْ أُعْطِيَ سَبْعَةَ نُقَبَاءَ وُزَرَاءَ نُجَبَاءَ ، وَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ وَزِيرًا نَقِيبًا نَجِيبًا : سَبْعَةً مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ، وَسَبْعَةً مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Among all the noble prophets who came before me, each was given seven chiefs, ministers, and nobles, whereas I have been given, with special distinction, fourteen ministers, chiefs, and nobles—seven of whom are from the Quraysh and the remaining seven are from the other Muhajirun.
