(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا عَمَلُ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ قَالَ : " الصِّدْقُ ، وَإِذَا صَدَقَ الْعَبْدُ بَرَّ ، وَإِذَا بَرَّ آمَنَ ، وَإِذَا آمَنَ ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا عَمَلُ النَّارِ ؟ قَالَ : " الْكَذِبُ إِذَا كَذَبَ الْعَبْدُ فَجَرَ ، وَإِذَا فَجَرَ كَفَرَ ، وَإِذَا كَفَرَ دَخَلَ " يَعْنِي النَّارَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the deed of Paradise?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Speaking the truth. When a servant speaks the truth, he does good deeds, and when he does good deeds, he attains faith, and when he attains faith, he will enter Paradise." Then he asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the deed of Hell?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Lying. When a servant lies, he commits sin, and when he commits sin, he commits disbelief, and when he commits disbelief, he will enter Hell."
