Hadith 664

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، أن علياً ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَلْ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى الْهُدَى وَالسَّدَادَ ، وَاذْكُرْ بِالْهُدَى هِدَايَتَكَ الطَّرِيقَ ، وَاذْكُرْ بِالسَّدَادِ تَسْدِيدَكَ السَّهْمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask Allah for guidance and correctness, and when you think of guidance, keep in mind the guidance of the path, and when you mean correctness, remember the straightness and accuracy of an arrow."
