(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيّ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ العاص ، قَالَ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَرِيَّةً ، فَغَنِمُوا ، وَأَسْرَعُوا الرَّجْعَةَ ، فَتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ بِقُرْبِ مَغْزَاهُمْ ، وَكَثْرَةِ غَنِيمَتِهِمْ ، وَسُرْعَةِ رَجْعَتِهِمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَقْرَبَ مِنْهُ مَغْزًى ، وَأَكْثَرَ غَنِيمَةً ، وَأَوْشَكَ رَجْعَةً ؟ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لِسُبْحَةِ الضُّحَى ، فَهُوَ أَقْرَبُ مَغْزًى ، وَأَكْثَرُ غَنِيمَةً ، وَأَوْشَكُ رَجْعَةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched a military expedition: "They obtained spoils of war and returned very quickly. People began to talk about the proximity of their battlefield, the abundance of spoils, and their swift return. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Shall I not tell you of a place even closer, with more abundant spoils and a quicker return? Whoever performs ablution and sets out towards the mosque for the Duha prayer, he attains a place even closer, with more abundant spoils and a quicker return than that.'"
