Hadith 6569

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ قُلُوبَ بَنِي آدَمَ كُلَّهَا بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَقَلْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، يُصَرِّفُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ ، اصْرِفْ قُلُوبَنَا إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "All the hearts of the children of Adam are between two fingers of Allah, like a single heart. He turns them as He wills." Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated: "O Allah, Turner of the hearts! Turn our hearts towards Your obedience."
