An elder says that I entered a mosque in Syria. I had just sat down after offering two rak'ahs when a man came and began to pray behind a pillar. When he finished his prayer, people gathered around him. I asked, "Who is he?" People told me, "He is Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him)." Meanwhile, a messenger from Yazid came to him. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "He wants to stop me from narrating hadiths to you, and your Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a soul that is never satisfied, from a heart devoid of humility and submission, from knowledge that is not beneficial, and from a supplication that is not accepted. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these four things.'"
