Hadith 6556

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَسْتَاذَ الْهِزَّانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ الذَّهَبَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ، فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ يَلْبَسُهُ ، حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ذَهَبَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ، فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ يَلْبَسُهُ ، حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ حَرِيرَ الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever from my Ummah wears gold and dies in that state, Allah will make the gold of Paradise forbidden for him. And whoever from my Ummah wears silk and dies in that state, Allah will make the silk of Paradise forbidden for him."
