Hadith 6472

(حديث مرفوع) قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أبي : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخَيَّاطُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : كُنَّا إِذَا اشْتَرَيْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , طَعَامًا جُزَافًا مُنِعْنَا أَنْ نَبِيعَهُ حَتَّى نُؤْوِيَهُ إِلَى رِحَالِنَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the blessed era of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to buy and sell grain by estimation, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from selling it in this manner until it was taken to our own tents.
