Hadith 6466

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْمُجَدَّرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ ، وَفَضَّلَ الْقُرَّحَ فِي الْغَايَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) organized a horse race and set a specific place, stipulating a condition.
