Hadith 6459

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الْقَزَعَ لِلصِّبْيَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He forbade qaza." Qaza means that when cutting a child's hair, some hair is cut and some is left (as is the fashion nowadays).
