Hadith 6456

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَعْفُوا اللِّحَى وَحُفُّوا الشَّوَارِبَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Trim the moustaches thoroughly and let the beard grow abundantly."
