Hadith 6441

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ , فَقَالَ : " أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ " .
Tawoos says that a man asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibit nabidh (fermented drink) made in gourds and pumpkins?" He replied, "Yes." Tawoos says, "I myself heard this."
