Hadith 6438

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَمَى النَّقِيعَ لِلْخَيْلِ " ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : لِخَيْلِهِ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، لِخَيْلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made Naqi’ a pasture for horses. Hammad says: I asked, "For his own horses?" The teacher replied, "No, rather for the horses of the Muslims."
