(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ يَعْنِي بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ ، فَقَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، ضَعُوا لَهُ وِسَادَةً . فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ مَفَارِقٌ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً " .
Zaid bin Aslam narrates from his father that once I went with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to Abdullah bin Muti’. He welcomed Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and ordered the people to present him with a cushion. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I have come to tell you a hadith which I heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience to the rightful ruler, he will have no argument (excuse) on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies having separated from the 'Jama'ah' (community), he dies the death of ignorance."
