Hadith 6410

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ : مِنْ أَسْلَمَ , قَالَ : أَلَا أُبَشِّرُكَ يَا أَخَا أَسْلَمَ ؟ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " غِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا ، وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ " .
Saeed bin Amr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once I was sitting with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, when a man came. He asked him, "Which tribe do you belong to?" He replied, "To the tribe of Aslam." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "O Aslami brother! Shall I not give you glad tidings? I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'The tribe of Ghifar—may Allah forgive it, and the tribe of Aslam—may Allah keep it safe.'"
