Hadith 6385

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِمَا ، فَلَمَّا رُجِمَا رَأَيْتُهُ " يُجَانِئُ بِيَدَيْهِ عَنْهَا لِيَقِيَهَا الْحِجَارَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered two, a man and a woman, to be stoned, I was present there. When they began to be stoned, I saw that the man was bending over with his hands to shield the woman from the stones.
