Hadith 6384

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، حَتَّى قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ أَرْبَعًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of Hudaybiyyah: "O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads." A man said, "Pray also for those who shorten their hair." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then, on the third or fourth time, said for those who shorten their hair: "O Allah, forgive those who shorten their hair as well."
