Hadith 6383

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَتْ مَخْزُومِيَّةٌ تَسْتَعِيرُ الْمَتَاعَ ، وَتَجْحَدُهُ ، " فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَطْعِ يَدِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a woman from Banu Makhzum who used to take things on credit and then deny them later. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that her hand be cut off.
