Muharib bin Dithar says that I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) raising his hands every time he bowed (for ruku) and when he raised his head from ruku. I asked him, "What is this?" He replied: "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he stood up to pray two rak'ahs, would say the takbir and raise his hands."
