It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a Bactrian she-camel for Hadi (sacrificial offering). He was about to receive three hundred dinars for it. He presented himself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have brought my Bactrian she-camel for Hadi, and now I am being offered three hundred dinars for it. Should I slaughter this one, or sell it and buy another animal with its price?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, slaughter this very one."
