It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not prevent your women from coming to the mosque at night." Upon hearing this, Salim or one of the sons of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "By Allah, we will not leave them like this; they will take it as an excuse for themselves." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) struck his chest and said: "I am narrating to you the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and you are saying this?"
