Hadith 629

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيًّا ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَكْذِبُوا عَلَيَّ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَكْذِبْ عَلَيَّ ، يَلِجْ النَّارَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not attribute false statements to me, for whoever attributes a false statement to me will enter Hell."
