Hadith 6276

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا يَبِعْ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ ، إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should sell over his brother's sale, nor should he send a marriage proposal over his brother's proposal, unless he is granted permission."
