Hadith 6269

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، فَقَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ : " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who shorten their hair as well." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then, on the fourth time, said for those who shorten their hair: "O Allah, forgive those who shorten their hair as well."
