Hadith 6263

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that once I presented myself in the court of the Messenger of Allah, and at that time my lower garment was hanging down. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who is this?" I replied, "Abdullah bin Umar." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you are Abdullah, then raise your lower garment." So I raised it up to the middle of my shins. The narrator says that this remained his practice until his death.
