Hadith 6262

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْمُصَوِّرُونَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ : أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the image-makers will be subjected to punishment and it will be said to them: 'Put a soul into what you have created and give them life as well.'"
