It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the details of the voluntary prayers of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are as follows: two rak‘ahs before the Zuhr prayer and two rak‘ahs after it, also two rak‘ahs after Maghrib, and two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha. And Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also perform two rak‘ahs after the rising of dawn.
