It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Madinah should assume ihram from Dhu'l-Hulayfah, the people of Sham from Juhfah, the people of Yemen from Yalamlam, and the people of Najd from Qarn." People asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "What about the people of Iraq?" He replied: "At that time, its miqat had not been fixed."
