Hadith 6251

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the trees of Banu Nadir cut down and set them on fire, and on that occasion Allah revealed this verse: "Whatever palm tree you cut down or left standing on its roots, it was by Allah’s command, so that He might disgrace the defiantly disobedient."
