Hadith 6188

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَنْهَى النَّاسَ , أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا لُحُومَ نُسُكِهِمْ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbidding people from keeping the meat of their sacrificial animal with them for more than three days (this ruling was later abrogated).
