Hadith 6184

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا , يَقُولُ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَأْكُلَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَلَا يَشْرَبَنَّ بِهَا ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَيَشْرَبُ بِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should eat or drink with his left hand, for Satan eats and drinks with his left hand.
