Hadith 6172

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ , كَانَ يَقُولُ : قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan.
