Hadith 6163

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ ، حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَحِينَ يَرْكَعُ ، وَحِينَ يَسْجُدُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began the prayer by saying the takbeer, and when he performed bowing and prostration, he would raise his hands up to the level of his shoulders.
