(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا ، فَلَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ غَيْرِهِ ، فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا رَجُلٌ مُحَارِبٌ ، وَالْحَرْبُ خَدْعَةٌ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَخْرُجُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ أَقْوَامٌ أَحْدَاثُ الْأَسْنَانِ ، سُفَهَاءُ الْأَحْلَامِ ، يَقُولُونَ مِنْ قَوْلِ خَيْرِ الْبَرِيَّةِ ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ إِيمَانُهُمْ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ ، فَأَيْنَمَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ ، فَإِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Suwaid bin Ghaflah says that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) once said: When I narrate to you a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then falling from the sky is more beloved to me than attributing a lie to him, and when I say something from someone else, then I am a warrior, and war is nothing but strategies and tricks. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Near the Day of Judgment, there will emerge such people whose age will be young and whose intellect will be foolish. They will speak the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but faith will not go beyond their throats. Wherever you find them, kill them, for killing them will be a source of reward on the Day of Judgment.
