Hadith 6146

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ وَهُوَ مُلَبِّدٌ ، يَقُولُ : " لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ ، وَالْمُلْكَ ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ " ، قَالَ : وسَمِعْت عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يُهِلُّ بِإِهْلَالِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَيَزِيدُ فِيهَا : لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ ، وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ ، وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting the Talbiyah with his hair gathered, saying: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. All praise and all blessings are for You, and sovereignty is Yours, You have no partner." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to add to this: "Here I am, here I am, I have come to serve You. All kinds of goodness are in Your hands. Here I am, all desires and actions are for You alone."
