Hadith 6066

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا إِنَّ مَثَلَ آجَالِكُمْ فِي آجَالِ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ كَمَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى مُغَيْرِبَانِ الشَّمْسِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Compared to the lifespans of the previous nations, your lifespans are like the time between Asr and Maghrib.
