Hadith 606

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً ، فَكُنْتُ أَسْتَحِي أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَكَانِ ابْنَتِهِ ، فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " يَغْسِلُ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I used to have a lot of madhi (pre-seminal fluid), and since the daughter of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in my marriage, I felt shy to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about this issue myself. So I asked Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about this issue. Accordingly, he asked about this issue, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that such a person should wash his private part and perform ablution.
