Hadith 6048

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ ، فَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ ، فَقَدْ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience to the rightful ruler of the time, no argument of his will be accepted on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies having separated from the "community" dies the death of ignorance.
