Hadith 6031

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " أَلَا إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا يُشِيرُ إِلَى الْمَشْرِقِ مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying this from the pulpit: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand towards the east and said: The trial will emerge from here, from where the horn of Satan will rise.
