Hadith 6015

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ : شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Islam is built upon five things: bearing witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, giving zakat, performing Hajj to the House of Allah, and fasting in Ramadan.
