Hadith 6010

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جِسْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيطٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَحْسَسْتُمْ بِالْحُمَّى ، فَأَطْفِئُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you feel fever, cool it with cold water.
