Hadith 6003

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man stood up and asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! In the state of Ihram, which clothes do you permit us to wear?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muhrim (person in Ihram) cannot wear a shirt, trousers, turban, or leather socks, except if he does not find shoes. Whoever does not find shoes should cut the leather socks below the ankles and wear them. Likewise, a cap or any cloth dyed with wars (a kind of grass) or saffron, a Muhrim cannot wear. And a woman, in the state of Ihram, should not cover her face with a veil or wear gloves on her hands."
