Hadith 592

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ حَسَنِ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابني محمد بن علي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا ، وَكَانَ حَسَنٌ أَرْضَاهُمَا فِي أَنْفُسِنَا ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ ، وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ زَمَنَ خَيْبَرَ " .
Syedna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Syedna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had prohibited temporary marriage (Nikah Mut'ah) and the meat of domesticated donkeys during the time of the Battle of Khaybar.
